
AFSCME COUNCIL 73 SCHOLARSHIP
Each year, AFSCME Council 73 awards 6 scholarships to high school seniors, whose parents or guardians are members of Council 73 and who will be attending college the following year. A Council 73 committee selects the winners based on the applicants academic achievements, financial need and essay discussing “What AFSCME Council 73 Means to My Family”.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must have a parent or guardian who is a current member of AFSCME Council 73 and they must be a high school senior that will be attending college the following year.
When can you apply?
Scholarship applications may be submitted between June 1st and June 15th. Applications, essays and transcript must received by Council 73 before June 15th in order to be considered for one of the Scholarships.
How do you apply?
Return the completed Scholarship Application, along with the essay “What AFSCME Council 73 Means to My Family”, and a copy of the applicant’s high school transcript. Applications may be mailed to the address listed below, faxed to our office at (609) 586-7499 or emailed to info@afscme73.org.
