Reasons TO ATTEND THE May 22 Citizens’ Rally

Governor Christie’s approach to cutting the Budget is far too drastic for most New Jersey citizens.  A central focus of his Budget Proposal is to cut public services.  Those cuts include, but are not limited to:

The closing of Woodbridge Residential Center, Hagedorn Geriatric Center, Mercer County Geriatric Center, Cape May County Home Health Care, and Vineland Developmental Center (West Campus) as well as privatization, furloughs and layoffs of AFSCME members in most Counties and municipalities;  

74% of State funding to libraries eliminated;

Hundreds of millions of dollars in State services to seniors, the vulnerable, the disabled, and to children cut;
